The MaxxECU PnP kit for the M50 non vanos and single vanos family allows you to gain full control over the engine while allowing easy fitment into your car, be it the original car or after a engine swap.

The base kit assumes the engine has been fitted with Smart coils / VAG coils / IGBT / Ignitor coils. This means the standard BMW coils will not work. Most common is to fit VAG coils to M5x engines. Alternatively its possible to purchase the Ignition output add on solution to retain the standard coils.

The kit cannot use the standard M52 / S52 cam sensor so for full 720° sync the user must fit a M50 vanos sensor or M54 sensor. Alternatively it's possible to use 360° mode without any issues. Vanos still works in 360° mode but you cannot monitor the angle.

Street variant : The street variant can be used but due to the number of outputs it cannot maintain full oem functionality or any additional output functionality. So communicate to us which oem functionality you are willing to compromise on and we will amend the adapter accordingly. For track and drifting IAC functionality will be most common. No DSG support

Sport : All the OEM functionality can be maintained as well as additional functionality. DSG support, E-throttle support

Race : All the OEM functionality can be maintained as well as additional functionality. DSG support, E-throttle support

Pro : All the OEM functionality can be maintained as well as additional functionality. DSG support, E-throttle support
